Network Operations
Let's
face it, the Network Operations Center (NOC) is the heart
and soul of any Internet Service Provider's business. After
all, this is what makes it all happen. It must be designed
to remain up literally 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and
365 days a year. GO Concepts' Network Operations Center (NOC)
has been carefully designed from day one of entering our facility.
It is a self contained, state-of-the-art, climate controlled
facility that houses our core servers and equipment, Internet
backbone connectivity, and our customers' vital data. We are
serviced via redundant OC-12 SONET Fiber. This particular
attention to detail is what insures GO Concepts and the Internet
are working for our customers around the clock, when you need
it. Read on to learn more on how GO Concepts' Network Operations
achieves some of the highest quality reliability and performance
of any ISP's in the area and ranks GO Concepts as a Premier
Internet solutions provider.
Redundant Backbone
Technology
ISP's committed to their customers online experience must
have not only a fast connection to the Internet that is capable
of transporting large amounts of data every second, but also
redundant and diverse paths to the Internet backbone to insure
reliability. GO Concepts achieves this by using border gateway
protocol (BGP) to implement multiple high capacity connections
to the Internet providing diversely routed access to Sprint
and also to UUNET. This places GO Concepts only two hops from
the Internet backbone, while providing true diversity and
redundancy, along with the largest Internet backbone connectivity
in the area.
Cutting Edge Systems
In order to further increase speed and better improve users'
online experience, GO Concepts has implemented 'edge of the
Internet' content delivery that makes the most popular web
content available right from our network. This is possible
through our relationships with leading edge companies like
Akamai. Our Akamai Content Delivery Server Farm allows us
to actually provide the most requested Internet content for
some of the most popular web sites, insuring you get the most
current information quickly and efficiently.
Quality Internal
Network and Dial-up Access
Our NOC houses a full duplex 100M Ethernet network to quickly
route network traffic between our servers, backbone connections,
and our users. GO Concepts utilizes top-of-the-line equipment
from industry leading manufacturers like Cisco
and Lucent/Ascend.
All of our equipment is supported by a multi-Gig tape backup
system and Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS's). Date file
management is handled via a Network Appliance Filer making
our network even further reliable, while providing for increased
performance. This ensures your data's integrity in case of
a failure. Our Web servers use 100M Ethernet to provide fast
response and quality hosting for numerous
Corporate Web Sites.
The link between our dial-in or dedicated customers
and our network to the Internet takes advantage of high quality
digital equipment and technology to maximize your online experience.
For those dial-in customers, when you dial-in to a GO Concepts
access number with your modem your call is routed from your
telephone company's local Central Office to our NOC via redundant
OC-12 SONET Fiber. The call is connected to one of our hundreds
of fully digital modems in our
Lucent MAX access routers, which are all the v.90 and
latest v.92 56k modem standard. Our server farm is comprised
of both Linux and Microsoft Windows 2000 based systems. All
are fully scaleable and easily upgradeable to the latest hardware
needs.
Administration -
Monitoring, Maintaining
In order to maintain a high level of service, GO Concepts
implements around the clock monitoring of its NOC's hardware
and software. This is implemented by a full-time and on-call
network administration team. At GO Concepts, it is our goal
to provide the best quality service and systems we can in
order to insure our customers experience quality, reliability,
speed, and ease of use with their Internet connectivity.
